Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 2 (RQF), or Level 5 (SCQF) Training Course | 1 Day • Virtual Classroom Delivery

The qualification is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments and will develop awareness of health and safety within an organisation.

The qualification provides learners with essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace under UK health and safety legislation and is also an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.

• Outline the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace, including the employers and employees duties

• Define the terms hazard and risks, and understand how these contribute to health and safety in the workplace

• Understand how to conduct a risk assessment

• Outline the main causes of workplace injury and ill health

• Identify safety signs in the workplace

• Champion safe working practices and implement a positive health and safety culture in the workplace

On successful completion, all learners will receive an FAA Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) / Level 5 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (SCQF).

FAA are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and the qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

The qualification builds on the introduction to health and safety in the workplace and is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments to develop awareness of health and safety within an organisation.

The qualification provides learners with essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace under UK health and safety legislation and is also an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.

Learners must be aged 16 years or over, and it is recommended that learners hold a minimum of level 1 in literacy (or equivalent) to undertake this qualification.

This course is delivered remotely over 1 day, via video conferencing software. Or, it can be delivered onsite at your business address on request.

The total qualification time is 7 hours, allowing for periods of self-study as required. Our approved, quality-assured trainers will be available for the full duration of the course.

Training will be delivered via a variety of resources including webinars, presentations, group activities and tasks.

Assessment is conducted through a written assessment.

There is no grading of the assessment, learners pass or are referred. Through distance learning the qualification is assessed via professional discussion with the trainer through video conferencing software.

The qualification does not have an expiry date, but it is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training.
