Health and Safety in the Workplace Level 3 (RQF), or Level 6 (SCQF) Training Course | 3 Day • Virtual Classroom Delivery

The Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace is aimed at people working or preparing to work in a supervisory or managerial position in respect of health and safety and is relevant to all employment sectors providing understanding of key health and safety topics. The qualification also an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.

• Outline the main legal framework and laws relating to health and safety at work

• Understand the requirements for health, safety and welfare in the workplace

• Understand the benefits of using a safety management system

• Understand how to conduct a risk assessment and the principles of risk assessments

• Outline the main causes of workplace injury and ill health

• Identify safety signs in the workplace

• Champion safe working practices and implement a positive health and safety culture in the workplace

• Understand how to manage the effects of accidents and incidents

On successful completion, all learners will receive an FAA Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) / Level 6 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (SCQF).

FAA are an awarding organisation regulated by Ofqual and SQA Accreditation and the qualification sits on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF) and the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF).

The qualification builds on more intermediate training, and is aimed at learners in a variety of work environments across managerial and supervisory roles in health and safety.

The qualification provides learners with essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace under UK health and safety legislation and is also an ideal platform to higher level training or career development.

Learners must be aged 16 years or over, and it is recommended that learners hold a minimum of level 1 in literacy (or equivalent) to undertake this qualification.

This course is delivered remotely over 3 days, via video conferencing software. Or, it can be delivered onsite at your business address on request.

The total qualification time is 25 hours, allowing for periods of self-study as required. Our approved, quality-assured trainers will be available for the full duration of the course.

Training will be delivered via a variety of resources including webinars, presentations, group activities and tasks.

Assessment is conducted through a written assessment.

There is no grading of the assessment, learners pass or are referred.

The qualification does not have an expiry date, but it is strongly recommended that the learner attends annual refresher training.
